A non-profit with sizable goals, the Telluride Society for Jazz’s work is never done. As the holidays and “giving season” approach, along with the Telluride Jazz Festival’s Early Bird Patron Experience Pass on sale date on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, we reflect on the non-profit’s big 2017 and what to look forward to in 2018 with Executive Director Peter Bell.

This year the Telluride Jazz Festival is more dynamic than ever! Many new events have been added to complement festival classics, making for a weekend that will be full of world-class music and fun. Additionally Telluride offers outstanding dining, outdoor recreation and sightseeing opportunities. The "Wine & Whiskey" tasting on Friday, August 4th will allow festival attendees to interact with distillers, wineries, brand ambassadors, and industry professionals all while enjoying the music of the Main Stage. Celebrate the two of the most beloved brunch cocktails in style on Sunday, August 6th! “Bubbles & Bloodies” will feature a variety of vodkas, tequilas, and sparkling wines to celebrate all the pleasures of the palate.
Presented by Telluride Yoga Festival and guided by professional instructor Lauren Miller, enjoy a smooth yoga flow at the free First Note Yoga Sessions. Learn activating breath techniques, liberating movements and playful exercises in the crisp mountain morning air.
After Mavis Staples closes down the Main Stage, the festival concludes with a special performance by Vaud and the Villains at the historic Sheridan Opera House. Join us for this energetic vaudeville-style show in the beautifully preserved Victorian-era Sheridan Opera House that is sure to be a memorable way to end the 2017 Telluride Jazz Festival.
The artwork piece behind the 2017 Telluride Jazz Festival poster is now on auction! To build this year's poster The Telluride Jazz Festival staff took a fine piece of Telluride inspired art from Eugenio Cohaila and formatted it to suit our lineup poster. This original one-of-a-kind fine canvas piece was created using oil on canvas. Pulling full inspiration from Telluride, this piece, depicts a lively downtown Main Street with a stunning alpine sunset.
Kick off the Telluride Jazz Festival in style with the new Jazz Art Walk! The new Jazz Art Walk will take place from Thursday, August 3, 5 - 8 PM in the heart of historic Downtown Telluride. Held in collaboration with the Telluride Arts District’s First Thursday’s Art Walk, the event will feature over 20 exhibits highlighted by five official Telluride Jazz Festival Art Walk galleries.

The Telluride Jazz Festival is excited to partner with Odell Brewing for the 2017 festival. The Fort Collins-based brewery has been a Colorado favorite for almost 30 years, brewing delicious craft beer since 1989. This Telluride Jazz Festival step into Telluride’s celebrated past with the Telluride Historical Museum! At this year’s festival the Historical Museum will host a Saturday morning, August 5, Historical Walking Tour, along with granting free admission to the museum for festival pass holders throughout the festival weekend
Piggybacking off of a longstanding New Orleans tradition, the Telluride Jazz Festival is excited to once again present the New Orleans 2nd Line Parade! This year’s parade will kick-off at noon on Sunday, August 6 from Elks Park and feature Cha Wa Mardi Gras Indian Band!
