SBG Productions Ushers in a New Era for the Telluride Jazz Festival
The Telluride Jazz Festival returns for its 41st year on August 4-6, 2017 with a fresh look to usher in a new era for the Festival in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. The Telluride Society for Jazz, the non-profit student education arm of the Festival, has selected SBG Productions to produce the event moving forward. SBG Productions, the organization behind Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Durango Blues Train and the 2016 Neil Young concerts in Telluride, brings 24 years of event experience to the future of the Telluride Jazz Festival.

Sire Bass Auction Signed by Artist Marcus Miller
Grammy winning bassist Marcus Miller has generously donated a signature Sire V7 bass to the Telluride Society for Jazz to be auctioned off during the 40th Telluride Jazz Festival. Proceeds from the auction of the signed bass will go directly to the year round student education programs and initiatives presented by our nonprofit organization.

The 26th Artists In the Schools Program
The Telluride Jazz Festival will present the 26th year of the annual Artists In The Schools student education program in the Telluride School District on Friday, April 1st, 2016. In the spirit of tapping localized talent and educators to activate area youth, Western Slope natives the Durango Funk Allstars have been chosen to conduct a Master Class, performance, and Q&A session with the elementary, middle, and high school students at the Michael D. Palm Theater.
Jon Cleary Named 2016 Guest Of Honor
The 40th Telluride Jazz Festival welcomes New Orleans pianist and singer Jon Cleary as the Guest of Honor for the annual music festival held August 5-7, 2016 in Telluride, Colorado. Emphasizing the scope and importance of the Telluride Jazz Festival’s annual ode to the Big Easy, including a designated New Orleans Day celebration on Sunday, August 7th, Jon Cleary will appear multiple times throughout the weekend for performances and special events. Scheduled performances include a Jazz After Dark late night set at the historic Sheridan Opera House on Friday, August 5th, a main stage set on Saturday, August 7th, and an additional set with a very special guest on the closing day of the festival for New Orleans Day.
