The Los Angeles League of Musicians, LA LOM, are as LA as it gets. Guitarist Zac Sokolow, bassist Jake Faulkner, and percussionist Nicholas Baker are LA natives who celebrate the multicultural colors of their city, with hues of 60’s soul, moody boleros and the updated offshoot of Cumbia, Cumbia Sonidera. In Sokolow’s guitar work you can hear the sweet twang of surf and country twang, too, completing the whole sun-drenched California vibe. This is a dance party, perfect for both cheek-to-cheek romance and backyard party hands-in-the-air celebration. They are instrumentalists first and foremost, eschewing vocals for a unique sound that will dance in your head long after the last note fades into the cosmos.
