Telluride Jazz Festival - Kids Area

Kids Area In The Festival

Living Folklore returns to the Telluride Jazz Festival with stilt-walkers and giant puppets to add ambiance to your family experience! Be sure to get your picture taken with these magnificent creations under the backdrop of the Telluride Mountains as they periodically stroll the festival grounds throughout the weekend.

This year kids can celebrate the life and legacy of Jimmy Hendrix with a giant puppet to honor him. Other giant puppets of musical legends like Prince, and Louis Armstrong will also be present. Come by the kids tent to get a picture with them and to enjoy face painting. For the Sunday Parade down Main Street, Living Folklore will be bringing umbrellas and flags for kids to carry so they can march along with the band, stilt-walkers, and giant puppets!

Telluride Jazz Festival - Parade

Main Street Parade

Second Line Parades are a New Orleans tradition. Brass bands take to the street, play and march. Onlookers who followed along to enjoy the music were known as the second line. Join festival artists along with the Festival staff, attendees, and other artists for a Second Line Parade down Main Street all the way to Telluride Town Park on Sunday.

Everyone is welcome! Colorful floats, costumes, beads and decorations are all welcome as attendees join in on the march through town. The parade starts at 12 pm from Elks Park.
