The original artwork piece behind the 2022 Telluride Jazz Festival poster is now on auction!

For this year's poster art, painter Ann Krasner's source of inspiration was the vibrant mix of colorful and funky jazz musicians performing on the Main Stage in Town Park. Kranser's stunning rendition combines the small town mountain charm and summertime music for which Telluride has become famous.

If you love the artwork, bid online to take home this one-of-a-kind original painting. Bid on the piece online here, or on-site at the festival's Merchandise Tent and Patron Concierge Station (next to the patron lounge bar) until Sunday, August 14th at 6 pm. The starting bid is $12,000 and the piece is valued at $25,000.

About the piece and artist

The Piece - For this year's poster art, painter Ann Krasner's source of inspiration was the vibrant mix of colorful and funky jazz musicians performing on the Main Stage in Town Park. Kranser's stunning rendition combines the small town mountain charm and summertime music for which Telluride has become famous.

The Artist - Ann Krasner was born in 1967 in Moscow. She immigrated to the United States as a political refugee with her husband Paul in 1988. Ann has an MS degree in Mathematics and an MBA. Settled in Malibu with her three children and husband, Ann created a distinctive, instantly recognizable style in art. More than 2,500 pieces of her original oil paintings, sculptures in bronze, ceramic and mixed media are showcased in private and public collections. Ann’s work has achieved worldwide recognition with numerous exhibitions around the world.


About The Telluride Society for Jazz

Auction proceeds benefit the Telluride Society for Jazz. The Telluride Society for Jazz is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education organization working in collaboration with the Telluride Jazz Festival and presenting the "Society Stage" at Elks Park, Telluride Student All-Stars Jazz Ensemble, and other year-round artist workshops, student education programs and community outreach events.


Auction Rules

  • The auction is open now and will close at 6 PM (MT), Sunday, August 14, 2022.

  • Starting August 12 at 12:30 PM the auction will also be available at the Patron Concierge Station. The online auction will remain open until August 11.

  • The "Auction Winner" is the highest bidder. Winner will be contacted at 7 PM (MT) Sunday, August 14. You do not have to be present to win.

  • Winner will be contacted and will have 24 hours to claim and pay for the piece. If winner does not claim said piece in this time frame, they will forfeit the winnings and the next highest bidder will be offered the piece.

  • If shipment is required, winner assumes all shipping and handling costs to deliver piece to destination.

  • Bidding opportunities are unlimited.

  • "Current Price" or highest bid will be updated daily Monday through Friday every 24 hours at 9 am (MT) until August 11. During the festival, the "Current Price" will be updated every 4 hours.

  • 50% of winning bid funds are allocated to the Elinoff Gallery to help cover cost of piece.

  • 50% of winning bid funds benefit the Telluride Society for Jazz
